Yet another JaeJoong portrait (no I don't get bored of drawing him). This one dates back to September '06 and I've yet to send it to my friend like I promised. Sorry.. ((
It's one of those drawings that I'm rather iffy about, probably because of the hair.
First (and last) time I tried to use white charcoal for hair. It is hard to work with and made his hair flat as hell. I hate the hair.
Korean lines are from DBSK's "One". I think..
Materials used:
-carbon pencil for outline
-charcoal 6B, 4B, and 2H
-white charcoal
-aqua net hairspray to hold charcoal.
The white glare you see is from the camera's flash (without flash the picture is too blurry). So the glare in the hair and around the words are not there in the actual drawing.
^ I usually take a long time because I get distracted and leave my work laying around untouched for days. This one probably took 2-3 days on and off. Accummulated hours would amount to 10+. ^ ^
Beautifull job ^^
what kind of materials do u use?
if u don't me asking....^^ i like the mood at the colors
i'd like to try something different from my work like that ^^
I use compressed charcoal sticks and charcoal pencils in various soft degrees listed for each drawing. For the white charcoal, I layer it over black charcoal to make it 'op out' since my bg paper is white. I'm still practicing with that technique though. ^ ^;;
Nothing really new actually. It's just the same 'ol charcoal. haha
Hope to see some more charcoal works from you too!
charcoal it's soooo messy it's hard to control haha
it gets me mad sometimes T.T i have to give it more tries though!
wish luck for those comming up charcoal works (let's see if i ever do one haha) but u have great control of them ^^
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
